dc.description.abstractKacang hijau (Vigna radiata L.) umumnya memiliki genotipe yang rentan mengalami pecah polong sehingga banyak terjadi kehilangan hasil sebelum panen dan saat panen. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi karakter agronomi dan ketahanan pecah polong galur-galur kacang hijau IPB. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo. Pengamatan pascapanen dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Pascapanen dan Laboratorium Genetika dan Pemuliaan Tanaman, Departemen Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Fakultas Pertanian, Institut Pertanian Bogor. Rancangan yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT) dengan tiga ulangan. Genotipe yang digunakan sebanyak 17 galur kacang hijau IPB dan 3 varietas pembanding yang ditanam sampai panen. Komponen yang diamati terdiri dari komponen pertumbuhan, umur, hasil produksi, dan pecah polong. Komponen pecah polong diamati saat di lahan, penjemuran di bawah sinar matahari selama 15 hari, dan di laboratorium menggunakan oven suhu 40 ? selama 7 hari. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat 3 galur yang memiliki karakter agronomi lebih baik dari varietas pembanding. Galur F9-Lom2/129-34, F9-VR480B/-156, dan F8-Lom2/129-22 memiliki karakter panjang polong dan jumlah biji per polong yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan varietas pembanding Vima 1, Vima 4, dan Vima 5. Galur-galur kacang hijau yang diuji memiliki sifat yang tahan terhadap pecah polong. Pengujian pecah polong jemur lebih efektif menunjukkan tingkat keragaman pecah polong terhadap galur-galur yang diuji.
dc.description.abstractMung beans (Vigna radiata L.) generally have genotypes that are prone to pod shattering resulting in a lot of yield loss before harvest and during harvest. This study aimed to evaluate the agronomic traits and pod shattering resistance of IPB mung bean lines. The research was conducted at Leuwikopo Experimental Farm. Postharvest observations were carried out at the Postharvest Laboratory and Plant Genetics and Breeding Laboratory, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Bogor Agricultural University. The experimental design used in this study was a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. The genotypes used were 17 IPB mung bean lines and 3 check varieties that were planted until harvest. The observed components consisted of growth, age, yield, and pod shattering components. Pod shattering components were observed in the field, drying in the sun for 15 days, and in the laboratory using an oven at 40? for 7 days. The results of this study showed that there were 3 lines that had better agronomic characters than the check varieties. The lines F9-Lom2/129-34, F9-VR480B/-156, and F8-Lom2/129-22 have higher pod length and number of seeds per pod compared to the check varieties Vima 1, Vima 4, and Vima 5. The tested mung bean lines is resistant to pod shattering.
