      Abstract
      Menurut Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 28 Tahun 2002 tentangbangunan gedung Pasal 17 ayat (1), persyaratan keselamatan gedung mencakupkemampuan bangunan untuk mendukung beban serta kemampuan dalampencegahan dan penanggulangan bahaya kebakaran dan petir. Untuk meningkatkanketahanan gedung terhadap kebakaran, diperlukan sistem proteksi kebakaran yangtepat, seperti instalasi jaringan fire sprinkler sesuai standar BSN dan NFPA.Perancangan fire sprinkler akan diterapkan pada Gedung Wing V pada KampusIPB Dramaga. Metode yang digunakan mengikuti prosedur yang telah ditetapkanoleh BSN dan NFPA. Pada Gedung Wing V Institut Pertanian Bogor dibutuhkan233 kepala sprinkler dengan kebutuhan lantai 1 sebanyak 89 buah, lantai 2sebanyak 82 buah, dan lantai 3 sebanyak 62 buah.       According to Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Number 28 of 2002 onbuilding structures, article 17 paragraph (1), building safety requirements includethe capability to support loads and the ability to prevent and mitigate fire andlightning hazards. An appropriate fire protection system, such as a fire sprinklernetwork compliant with BSN and NFPA standards, is necessary to enhance buildingfire resistance. The fire sprinkler system for the Wing V Building at IPB DramagaCampus will be designed following these procedures.
