The objective of the study was to evaluate agronomic characteristics of 80 Fs lines and also to identify promising NPT lines. Eighty lines were evaluated on Babakan Sawah Baru Dramaga with Latosol soil at 250 m above sea level, from March until December 2002. These materials were came from individual selection, consists of nineteen families (combination of hybridization). The experimental design was a randomized complete block, with two replicates, lines as the treatment, each line was planted per row; hence there were 160 experimental units. The agronomic characters of Fs lines, which have been evaluated in a dry season, generally had shown the ideal agronomic characters. The plants' growth was very good on the vegetative phase, all of them can be explained from the lots number of tillers of each plant produced. The heights quite vary according to their specific characters and some lines were lodging off when entered the heading stage. Result of the experiment several lines such as GmGg01-d-6s, GmGg01-d- 9s, StKt06-d-10s, WrSg08-d-5s, KmSm14-d-7s, and GgGm20-d-5s are potential promising NPT lines based on agronomic characters.
