dc.description.abstractEkosistem mangrove bersifat kompleks dan dinamis, namun rentan. Sifat rentan pada ekosistem mangrove dikarenakan ekosistem ini mudah rusak dan sulit untuk dipulihkan. Makrozoobentos merupakan biota asosiasi mangrove yang dapat dijadikan sebagai indikator dalam penilaian kualitas ekologi mangrove karena memiliki mobilitas yang rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengaplikasikan indeks Bentix pada makrozoobentos dalam menilai kualitas ekosistem mangrove di Pesisir Desa Tanjung, Sumenep, Madura. Stasiun pengamatan ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling dan pengambilan data vegetasi mangrove menggunakan metode line transect plot. Makrozoobentos diambil menggunakan sekop di setiap sudut plot. Makrozoobentos dianalisis tingkat sensitivitasnya dengan menggunakan indeks Bentix. Kerapatan mangrove di kelima stasiun tergolong jarang, dengan nilai (<1000 ind/ha), dan berdasarkan tutupannya, kelima stasiun tersebut tergolong rusak dengan nilai (<50%). Makrozoobentos ditemukan dari yang paling dominan sampai yang paling sedikit ditemukan secara berurutan yaitu Gastropoda, Malacostraca, dan Bivalvia. Makrozoobentos menunjukkan keanekaragaman sedang (1,41−1,79), keseragaman tinggi (0,59−0,80), dan dominansi yang rendah (0,25−0,36). Bentix menunjukkan bahwa status ekologi mangrove di Desa Tanjung termasuk kategori poor (2,33) dan masuk ke dalam klasifikasi heavily polluted. Ekosistem mangrove di Desa Tanjung memerlukan tindakan pengelolaan berupa rehabilitasi.id
dc.description.abstractMangrove ecosystems are complex and dynamic, yet vulnerable. The vulnerable nature of mangrove ecosystems is because these ecosystems are easily damaged and difficult to restore. Macrozoobenthos is a mangrove association biota that can be used as an indicator in assessing the ecological quality of mangroves because it has low mobility. The purpose of this study was to apply the Bentix index to macrozoobenthos in assessing the quality of mangrove ecosystems on the coast of Tanjung Village, Sumenep, Madura. Observation stations were determined by purposive sampling method and mangrove vegetation data collection using line transect plot method. Macrozoobenthos was taken using a shovel in each corner of the plot. Macrozoobenthos analyzed the level of sensitivity using the Bentix index. Mangrove density in the five stations was classified as sparse, with a value (<1000 ind/ha), and based on the cover, the five stations were classified as damaged with a value (<50%). Macrozoobenthos are found from the most dominant to the least found in order of Gastropoda, Malacostraca, and Bivalvia. Macrozoobenthos showed moderate diversity (1.41−1.79), high uniformity (0.59−0.80), and low dominance (0.25−0.36). Bentix shows that the ecological status of mangroves in Tanjung Village is categorized as poor (2.33) and falls into the heavily polluted classification. Mangrove ecosystems in Tanjung Village require management actions in the form of rehabilitation.id
