The additional of lattice number toward simplex lattice design as authentication model of herbal medicine composition.
Abstract
The quality control of herbal medicine is improving. Control diagram has been made as authentication model from Tensigard (Phapros) composition. Tensigard consisted of celery and kumis kucing extracts. The purpose of this research was to add lattice number in simplex lattice design in order to improve the Tensigard authentication model. The research was conducted by incorporating appropriate chemometric methods (principal component analysis and regression component analysis (PCR)) as tools for extracting relevant chemical information from the obtained infrared data. The result showed that all of combination designs have an infrared spectra similarity. Celery-kumis kucing-filler (SDKK) combination produced the biggest cumulative proportion of component 1 and 2, both all wavelengths and fingerprint area data, 94.94 and 97.52%, respectively. The best model based on PCR result from SDKK combination, which produced the proportion of celery, kumis kucing, filler, 61.50, 16.30, and 77.80%, respectively.
