Pineapple processes which have been done nowadays brought a lot of environmental problems due to enormous pineapple peel waste. Actually, those waste could be converted into valuable product such as cellulose or nata de pina. Cellulose could be used as membrane which was useful for filtration process. Nata de pina was formed through incubation process for five days with the help of Aceatobacter xylinum. The membrane then was analysed using membrane flux, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscope instruments to define the type of membrane. The research showed that the membrane has 21.000- 24.000 L/m2hour bar of membrane flux, 1.60- 3.00 μm of pores size, and the cellulose was confirmed by infrared spectrum. The result indicated that nata de pina could be defined as an microfiltration membrane used for microfiltration of 0.10- 10.00 μm particle size.id
