The objectives of this experiment is to elucidate the effect of sucker size on growth, production and fruit quality of pineapple type Queen. The expriment was conducted at the IPB research field, Babakan Pasir Mas, Pasir Kuda Village, Ciomas Bogor, West Java from Mei 2002 until Mei 2003. The experiment was arranged in the Randomized Complete Block Design with single faktor of pineapple sucker weight consist of four suckers size they were sucker U, -35.0 gr -101.5 gr, sucker U₂ 101.6 gr 168.1 gr, sucker Us 168.2 gr-234.0 gr, sucker U₁234.1 gr - 300 gr. Analysis of variance results showed that suckers size significantly effects on plant heigths, number of leaves, the wide of leaves, shoot number, fruit weight with crown for fruit sample, fruit weight with crown for total population, fruit weight, fruit size, fruit diameter, crown height and total soluble solid. The size of suckers has no significant difference on sucker number, slips number, peduncle diameter, fruit crown height, the number of crown leaf, the depth of the fruit eye and fruit pH. Correlation analysis indicates that the increase of pineapple sucker size will cause increases of plant height, total leaf, leaf width, total sucker, fruit weight include crown for fruit sample, fruit weight include crown for total population, fruit weight, fruit length, fruit diameter and total soluble solid.id
