      Analisis Kestabilan Mesin Lining Compound PT X dengan Bagan Kendali EWMA dan DEWMA

      Abstract
      Sealing compound merupakan suatu substansi yang digunakan pada kemasan berbahan logam untuk mengisi celah antara tutup dan badan kaleng. Penggunaan sealing compound telah diterapkan pada PT X dengan produk utamanya adalah nanas kaleng sehingga dapat memperpanjang umur simpan produk tersebut. Proses pemberian sealing compound sangat kritis sehingga perlunya pendeteksian dini jika berat sealing compound menjadi tidak terkendali dan perlunya upaya agar tetap memenuhi spesifikasi yang telah ditentukan. Bagan kendali Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (EWMA) dan Double Exponentially Weigted Moving Average (DEWMA) menerapkan pembobotan sehingga lebih sensitif mendeteksi pergeseran proses yang kecil sehingga pendeteksian proses yang tidak terkendali akan menjadi lebih dini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan kapabilitas proses berat sealing compound bulan Januari hingga Februari 2023 terhadap spesifikasinya serta menguji kestabilan proses tersebut dengan bagan kendali EWMA dan DEWMA yang kemudian performa keduanya akan dibandingkan menggunakan simulasi data yang dibangkitkan dengan rataan dan simpangan baku yang menyerupai proses tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapabilitas proses dari berat sealing compound Januari hingga Februari 2023 sudah dikategorikan sangat baik dalam memenuhi spesifikasi dengan nilai C_p= 1,93 serta C_pk= 1,93 yang menunjukkan proses berada di tengah antara batas spesifikasi. Hasil analisis dan perbandingan proses tersebut menggunakan bagan kendali EWMA dan DEWMA terlihat bahwa bagan kendali DEWMA lebih sensitif dari EWMA. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa bagan kendali DEWMA lebih baik daripada EWMA dalam mendeteksi pergeseran rataan proses dari dibawah 0,5 simpangan baku proses (δ < 0,5σ). Untuk pergeseran yang lebih besar, bagan kendali EWMA dan DEWMA memiliki performa yang cenderung mirip.
       
      Sealing compound is a substance used in metal packaging to fill the gap between the lid and the body of the can. The use of a sealing compound has been applied to PT X whose main product is canned pineapple so that it can extend the shelf life of the product. Process of applying sealing compound is very critical so that early detection is needed if the weight of the sealing compound becomes uncontrollable and efforts are needed to keep it in line with predetermined specifications. Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (EWMA) and Double Exponentially Weigted Moving Average (DEWMA) control chart apply weighting so that they are more sensitive in detecting small process shifts so that the detection of uncontrolled processes will be earlier. Purpose of this research is to determine the capability of the sealing compound weighing process from January to February 2023 against its specifications and to test the stability of the process with the EWMA and DEWMA control charts, which then compare the performance of the two using simulated data generated with the average and standard deviation that resembles the process. The results showed that process capability of the sealing compound weight from January to February 2023 was categorized as very good in meeting the specifications with C_p= 1,93 and C_pk= 1,93 indicating the process was in the middle between the specification limits. The results of the analysis and comparison of these processes using the EWMA and DEWMA control chart showed that the DEWMA control charts are more sensitive than EWMA. The simulation results show that the DEWMA control chart is better than EWMA at detecting process mean shifts lower than 0,5 of process standard deviation (δ ≤ 0.5σ). For greater mean shifts, EWMA and DEWMA control chart have similar performance.
