      Abstract

Nationally, tea industry contributes to a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of around 1.2 trillion or around 0.3% of the total non-oil and gas GDP. The value of Indonesian tea exports from 2013 continues to decline until 2022. This study aims to determine the factors causing the decline in Indonesia's export value. The research method used is panel data regression. The results of this study indicate that the decline in the value of Indonesian tea exports was caused by a decrease in domestic tea production, a decrease in tea export prices, a depreciation of the rupiah, the application of tariffs, and the application of NTM SPS. While the factors that do not affect are real GDP per capita of destination country and the application of NTM TBT. Policies that can be carried out are increasing production and productivity, increasing added value so that prices and quality increase, as well as certification and standardization, so that they are competitive and have value in the international market.
