| dc.description.abstract | One of the small fishers in Indonesia is Putra Abadi fishing vessel at Muara Angke Fishing Port, Jakarta. A traditional shipyard constructed the vessel based on the existing fishing vessel. Therefore, the engine chosen is only based on experience and cost. The level of economical fuel efficiency of the engine can be seen from the value of specific fuel consumption (SFC). This research aimed to measure fuel consumption, engine rotation, speed, and duration of each condition. Furthermore, this research aimed to calculate the SFC value of Putra Abadi Fishing Vessel. This goal is achieved by directly measuring fuel consumption, engine rotation, speed, and duration of each fishing condition. The results showed that the engine rotation value is relatively high when heading to the fishing area and heading to the Muara Angke Fishing Port is 2339-2997 RPM. Average fuel consumption per one trip Putra Abadi spends 0.84% when idle, enters the port pool 0.44%, exits the port 1.29%, settings 1.84%, goes to the port 42.29%, and goes to the fishing ground 53.30%. The specific fuel consumption (SFC) of the Putra Abadi vessel with small pelagic purse seiners during the study was around 0.148 ± 0.0094 kg/HP.hour. The vessel’s resistance at a speed of 7 knots is 2.5 kN. The engine power when considering the sea margin and engine margin is 56 HP. | id |
