Gedung Asrama C3 PKU IPB merupakan salah satu gedung asrama mahasiswa baru di IPB. Laju pertumbuhan penerimaan mahasiswa baru yang terus meningkat setiap tahunnya berbanding lurus dengan kebutuhan tempat tinggal. Hal ini menunjukkan dibutuhkan adanya evaluasi struktur atas gedung diikuti dengan perencanaan ulang penambahan beban satu lantai agar dapat dioptimalkan secara maksimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi dan membuat rancangan kekuatan elemen struktur eksisting maupun rencana penambahan beban satu lantai yang memenuhi standar keamanan sesuai dengan SNI 1726:2019 dan SNI 2847:2019. Partisipasi massa struktur yang terjadi sudah memenuhi syarat 90%, sedangkan nilai periode struktur dan gaya geser dinamik setelah dilakukan kontrol dapat dikategorikan aman sesuai dengan SNI 1726:2019. Simpangan antar lantai kurang dari simpanan izin antar lantainya sehinga dapat dikategorikan aman. Struktur gedung rencana belum memenuhi persyaratan keamanan struktur berdasarkan SNI 2847:2019. Rekomendasi perkuatan elemen struktur balok B1 dan B4 yang mengalami overstress dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode CFRP. The C3 Dormitory Building at PKU IPB is one of the new student dormitories at IPB. The rate of growth in new student admissions which continues to increase every year is directly proportional to the need for housing. This shows that there is a need for an evaluation of the superstructure of the building followed by a re-planning of adding one floor load so that it can be optimally optimized. This research was conducted to evaluate and design the strength of the existing structural elements as well as plans to increase the load on one floor that meets safety standards according to SNI 1726:2019 and SNI 2847:2019. The mass participation of the structure that occurs meets the requirements of 90%, while the value of the structure period and dynamic shear after control can be categorized as safe according to SNI 1726:2019. The deviation between floors is less than the permit savings between floors so that it can be categorized as safe. The structure of the planned building does not meet the structural safety requirements based on SNI 2847:2019. Recommendations for strengthening the structural elements of beams B1 and B4 which are experiencing overstress are carried out using the CFRP method.
