      Abstract

Wild boar (Sus scrofa) is a game animal utilized by the SAD community in Bukit Duabelas National Park. However, data related to the spatial distribution of activity traces, harvesting and utilization of wild boar are still limited. Therefore, this study needs to be conducted to determine the spatial distribution of wild boar activity traces and identify the relationship between the harvesting and utilization of wild boar by Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) with respondents characteristics. The methods used in this study were direct observation, vegetation analysis, and in depth interviews with 40 respondents. The results showed that the types of wild boar activity traces observed in TNBD were feeding marks, body friction, fang marks, footprints, puddles and nests. The most common type of activity trace to be found is footprints with a total of 25 footprints. The spatial distribution of wild boar activity trace in TNBD is clustered (Ip>0). Wild boar harvesting by SAD is predominantly done during the day (45%) using modern and traditional techniques. Parts of wild boar that are being utilized is a total of 77%, and wild boar products were predominantly used by SAD in the form of consumption and trade.
