      Pengujian 100 Galur Padi Sawah (Oryza sativa L.) Generasi F3 Populasi IPB196 dan IPB197.

      Abstract
      Produksi padi di Indonesia belum mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan karena luas lahan yang semakin sempit sedangkan jumlah penduduk di Indonesia semakin bertambah. Padi Tipe Baru (PTB) menjadi salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan produksi tanaman padi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji 100 galur padi generasi F3 populasi IPB196 dan populasi IPB197 untuk memperoleh galur galur yang berpotensi hasil tinggi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Sawah Baru IPB, Desa Babakan, Dramaga, Bogor pada bulan Februari sampai Agustus 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan bersekat (augmented design) menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT) dengan enam pembanding yakni VUB Ciherang, Inpari 32, dan empat galur elit IPB187-F-37-1- 2 (S1), IPB187-F-65-1-2 (S3), IPB193-F-30-2-1 (S9), dan IPB187-F-40-1-1 (T5) dengan lima ulangan dan 100 galur generasi F3 populasi IPB196 dan IPB197 tidak diulang sehingga diperoleh 130 satuan percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan galur-galur PTB bersegregasi cukup baik dan memungkinkan untuk dilakukan seleksi lebih lanjut pada generasi berikutnya. Beberapa galur memiliki keragaan yang lebih baik dan menghasilkan bobot gabah per rumpun yang lebih besar dari pembanding VUB Ciherang dan Inpari 32 yaitu galur IPB196-101 (32,94 g), IPB196-105 (43,78 g), IPB196-106 (35,54 g), IPB196-108 (32,40 g), IPB196-112 (39,73 g), IPB196-114 (39,28 g), IPB197-121 (50,55 g), IPB197-123 (46,09 g), IPB197-126 (46,30 g), IPB197-127 (44,31 g), IPB197-130 (50,45 g), IPB197-139 (36,12 g), IPB197-171 (38,89 g), dan IPB197-200 (41,07 g). Galur potensial padi pada populasi IPB196 yang paling baik yaitu galur IPB196-105 (43,78 g), dan pada populasi IPB197 yaitu galur IPB197-130 (50,45 g), serta memiliki karakter agronomi yang lebih baik daripada seluruh pembanding.
       
      Rice field production in Indonesia has not experienced a significant increase because the land area is getting smaller while the population in Indonesia is increasing. Rice breeders consider that New Plant Type of Rice (NPT) is one way to increase rice production. This study aims to evaluate 100 lines of rice generation F3 of the IPB196 and IPB197 populationsto stufy the segregation of the populations in obtaining potentially high yielding lines. The research was conducted at the IPB Field Experimental Station, Babakan Village, Dramaga, Bogor from February to August 2022. This study used augmented randomized complete block design (RCBD) with six controls consisted of two varieties, Ciherang, Inpari 32, and four elite inbred lines IPB187-F-37-1-2 (S1), IPB187-F-65-1-2 (S3), IPB193 -F-30-2-1 (S9), and IPB187-F-40-1-1 (T5). Check genotypes were planted in five replications, and the 100 segregating lines of F3 generation of the IPB196 and IPB197 were planted without replication so that 130 experimental units were obtained. The results showed that several New Plant Type (NPT) lines segregated quite well and made it possible to carry out further selection for the next generation. Several lines had better performance and produced higher grain weight per clump than the comparisons between VUB Ciherang and Inpari 32. Those lines IPB196-101 (32,94 g), IPB196-105 (43,78 g), IPB196-106 (35,54 g), IPB196-108 (32,40 g), IPB196- 112 (39,73 g), IPB196-114 (39,28 g), IPB197-121 (50,55 g), IPB197-123 (46,09 g), IPB197-126 (46,30 g), IPB197-127 (44,31 g), IPB197-130 (50,45 g), IPB197- 139 (36,12 g), IPB197-171 (38,89 g), and IPB197-200 (41,07 g). The best potential rice lines in the IPB196 population were IPB196-105 (43,78 g), and in the IPB197 population, IPB197-130 (50,45 g), and had better agronomic characteristics than all controls.
