dc.description.abstractCommunication network analysis is one of method that can be used to identify the interaction of individuals with each other in particular group or with other parties outside the group, This method not only focused on the individuals and the social unit but also the quality of the relationship between social units. The aims of this study were, (1) Describe communication networks among farmers groups markets in Benteng Village, (2) Describe the communication network which formed among farmer groups in Benteng village and the role of the individual in the network structure, (3) analyze the correlation between individual characteristics and communication network, (4) Analysis the role of communication networks and the markets of crop collectors in improving the agricultural production of farmers in Benteng Village, and analyze the relationship between the communication networks and farmers marketing to their products. This study was conducted by utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods through semi-structured questionnaire and interviews for all farmers' groups members in Benteng Village, the analysis unit consisted of individuals which total 107 people, distributed into three groups of farmers who are member Gapoktan in Benteng Village, Ciampea, Bogor regency. In order to identify the communication networks, UCINET VI software was used in farmer network analysis, as well as correlation analysis using the Microsoft Excel through SPSS reinforced by data from SPSS 20 statistical tests. The results showed that the structure of communication network in the Gapoktan Tani Benteng form the structure of the wheel, and variable of individual characteristics such as age, the scale of business, are significantly related to the degree centrality. Relationship between farmer’s characteristics and communication network was a significant correlation at the level of 10% of the respondents with the communication networks and the value of -0.186, Thus, it can be said that the younger members of Gapoktan are the most centralized in the system and interested in using communication networks to communicate with other members of the other groups, while the older members are less he or she will interest in communication networks, on the other hand, members of old Gapoktan, or older than 65 years do not contribute much to activities of farming. The result showed that the correlation between communication network (Y1) and marketing (Y2) are significant, so, the coefficient between communication network and marketing Showing that, whenever were the communication rate highly among farmers, whenever were the marketing rate high.id
dc.description.abstractAnalisis jaringan komunikasi merupakan salah satu metode yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi interaksi antarindividu dalam kelompok tertentu atau dengan pihak lain di luar kelompok tersebut. Metode ini tidak hanya berfokus pada individu dan unit sosial tetapi juga kualitas hubungan antarunit sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1), mendeskripsikan jaringan komunikasi pemasaran kelompok petani di Desa Benteng, (2), mendeskripsikan jaringan komunikasi yang terbentuk di antara kelompok petani di desa Benteng dan peran individu dalam struktur jaringan, (3), menganalisis korelasi antara karakteristik individu dan jaringan komunikasi, (4), menganalisis peran jaringan komunikasi dan pasar pengumpul (tengkulak) dalam meningkatkan produksi pertanian di Desa Benteng, dan menganalisis hubungan antara jaringan komunikasi dan pemasaran produk pertanian oleh petani. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif melalui kuesioner semi-terstruktur dan kualitatif melalui wawancara dengan anggota kelompok tani di Desa Benteng. Unit analisis terdiri dari individu sebanyak 107 orang, didistribusikan ke dalam tiga kelompok petani yang merupakan anggota Gapoktan di Desa Benteng, Ciampea, Kabupaten Bogor. Untuk mengidentifikasi jaringan komunikasi, perangkat lunak UCINET VI digunakan dalam analisis jaringan petani. Analisis korelasi menggunakan Microsoft Excel melalui SPSS yang diperkuat oleh data dari uji statistik SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur jaringan komunikasi di Gapoktan Tani Benteng membentuk struktur roda. Variabel karakteristik individu seperti usia dan skala bisnis berhubungan secara nyata dengan derajat sentralitas. Usia dan tingkat pendidikan berhubungan secara nyata dengan tingkat keeratan. Karakteristik petani dan jaringan komunikasi memiliki korelasi signifikan pada tingkat 10% responden dengan nilai -0,186. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa anggota Gapoktan yang lebih muda paling terpusat ke dalam sistem dan tertarik menggunakan jaringan komunikasi untuk berkomunikasi dengan anggota lain dari kelompok lain, sementara anggota yang lebih tua kurang tertarik dalam jaringan komunikasi. Di sisi lain, anggota Gapoktan yang berusia di atas 65 tahun tidak banyak berkontribusi untuk kegiatan bertani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jaringan komunikasi (Y1) memiliki korelasi yang tidak signifikan terhadap pemasaran (Y2).id
