Utilization of mackerel fishery resources is an effort to improve the fishermen's economy, in utilizing resources it is necessary to carry out management in favor of resource sustainability. The management of mackerel fishery resources in the TS coast within the framework of the socio-ecological system (SES) has not been well integrated. This study analyzes the components and connectivity of the socio-ecological system (SES) of the mackerel fish (Rastrelliger spp.) to formulate a management strategy in the TS Coastal waters. This research was conducted from June to July 2022 on the TS coast, Kayong Utara Regency, West Kalimantan. The social-ecological system (SES) approach was used in this study. Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that there is a strong relationship between the SES components. The resource user component (RA) has a strong relationship with mackerel fishery resources (RU), in the broader context of the resource system (RS), but tends to be weaker in the implementation of the resource management system (RG) in the TS coast. Management strategies can be carried out through good cooperation between (RA) and (RG) so as to create sustainable TS (RS) coastal waters and mackerel fishery resources (RU).
