dc.description.abstractSorgum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) merupakan salah satu tanaman pangan yang berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai tanaman pangan alternatif di Indonesia. Produktivitas sorgum di Indonesia berkisar 2,13 ton ha-1, sedangkan potensi sorgum adalah 4-5 ton ha-1. Peningkatan produktivitas sorgum masih perlu dikembangkan salah satunya dengan pemuliaan tanaman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi keragaan karakter agronomi dan daya hasil pada delapan galur harapan sorgum IPB serta mengidentifikasi galur potensial untuk didaftarkan sebagai varietas unggul baru. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai Juli 2022 di Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo dan Laboratorium Penelitian Pemuliaan Tanaman, Departemen Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Fakultas Pertanian, IPB. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rangkaian kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT) faktor tunggal genotipe. Hasil analisis ragam sebelas genotipe sorgum menunjukkan bahwa genotipe berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua karakter yang diamati, kecuali pada karakter kadar air bji. Galur uji A-18- 12-7-5, A-19-18-3-8, B-043-16-5-5, C-248-16-5-3-4 dan C-267-18-18-2-7 memiliki keunggulan pada karakter hasil per hektar.id
dc.description.abstractSorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) is a food crops that has developed as an alternatives food crop in Indonesia. Sorghum productivity in Indonesia is 2,13 ton ha-1, while the potential is 4-5 ton ha-1. Increasing the sorghum productivity still needs to be done one of them by plant breeding. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the performent of agronomic and yield on eight promosing lines of sorghum IPB and identify potential lines to be registered as new superior varieties. The research was conducted from February to July 2022 at the Leuwikopo Experimental Field and Plant Breeding Laboratory, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB University. The experimental design used was a randomized complete block design with a single factor is genotype. The result of analysis of varience (ANOVA) of the eleven sorghum genotype showed that the genotype had a significant effect on all observed character, except for the water content character. Lines A-18-12-7-5, A- 19-18-3-8, B-043-16-5-5, C-248-16-5-3-4 and C-267-18-18-2-7 had an advantage on the character of yield per hectare.id
