Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepribadian Islam santri dan
pengaruhnya terhadap kompetensi wirausaha, serta faktor-faktor yang inendukung
pengaruh tersebut, meIiputi: karakteristik dan persepsi santri tentang pelaksanaan
pembelajaran di pesantren. Dengan adanya pengaruh tersebut, peneIitian ini bertujuan
merumuskan model pengembangan kompetensi wirausaha dan strategi pembelajaran
kewirausahaan berbasis kepribadian Islam. The objectives of the study were to identify: (I) the Islainic personality of
santris, (2) the characteristics of santris and their perception on the education in
Pesantren, (3) the entrepreneurship competency of santris; and finally (3) to identify
the influence of their Islamic personality, characteristics, and their perception on the
education in Pesantren on the entrepreneurship competency. The entrepreneurship
competency included the ability to: (a) make a business plan; (b) make time
scheduling; (c) communicate and team work; (d) take a business risk; (e) have
the need for achievement; (f) creatively and innovatively catch the business
opportunity; (g) make a decision and solve the problem; (h) have a positive thinking
based on the believe in Good; and (i) have a self confidence and skill development.
The research finding pointed out: (I) The positive thinking, decision making and
problem solving, need for achievement, risk taking, and self development were the
strongest competency of santris; while business planning, time scheduling, group
communication and cooperation, and the creative work were their weakness
competency; (2) the Islamic personality of santris and their perception on the learning
objective had the most significant direct effect on the entrepreneurship competency of
santris; (3) while the talent of santris, interest, leaming environment and facilities
had the significant direct effect on the entrepreneurship competency.
