Esophageal perforation is a fatal disease that may caused death in horses. Perforation of esophagus causes systemic illness in the horse's organs. This study aims to investigate the pathological alterations in the anatomy brought on by esophageal perforation, as well as the effects that these alterations on the incidence of the condition. To ascertain the frequency of cases that led to the disease, a horse of the Sandel Wood breed underwent necropsy. The incidence of the disease case was evaluated by investigating at anatomy pathological changes. The findings revealed alterations in the general state of the skin, such as cellulitis, gangrenous myositis, pyothorax, fibrinopurulent adhesive pleurisy, hemorrhagic laryngitis, hemorrhagic tracheitis, and pleuropneumonia. Cardiomyopathy, fibrinous pericarditis, hemopericardium, left ventricular cardiac hypertrophy, endocarditis, ascites, esophageal perforation, splenic petechiae hemorrhage and splenitis, swelling (edema) and exudate in brain were also present in the horse. The presence of bacteria that entered to the thoracic cavity is a result of antiperistaltic from the stomach. Ingesta that entered the thoracic cavity through esophageal perforation caused the incidence of systemic disease. The bacteria harmed the horse's organs by dispersing throughout the blood vessels and producing septicaemia with ending by death.id
