dc.description.abstractFood waste merupakan makanan layak konsumsi yang mengalami pembuangan di tingkat konsumen, baik sebelum atau sesudah masa kedaluwarsa. Salah satu jenis food waste yang dihasilkan adalah beras. Peningkatan food waste beras menyebabkan kerugian terhadap ketahanan pangan, pemborosan ekonomi dan pencemaran lingkungan. Kecamatan Cikupa merupakan salah satu wilayah sebagai sumber penghasil sampah terbesar kedua di Kabupaten Tangerang, Provinsi Banten. Permasalahan sampah rumah tangga di Kecamatan Cikupa yaitu sampah dibuang tanpa proses pemilahan, tidak ada pengelolaan sampah secara berkelanjutan, serta penimbunan dan pembakaran sampah di lahan terbuka. Tujuan penelitian untuk menghitung nilai kerugian ekonomi akibat food waste beras, menganalisis faktor penyebab, dan mengkaji strategi pengelolaan food waste beras rumah tangga. Metode yang digunakan yaitu SNI 19-3964-1994, damage cost, benefit transfer, metode regresi logistik, dan analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa food waste beras di Kecamatan Cikupa menyebabkan kerugian ekonomi sebesar Rp25.637.901.552 per tahun dan kerugian lingkungan sebesar Rp43.186.964.681 per tahun. Faktor penyebab food waste beras adalah harga beras, selera, pengetahuan, kesehatan dan umur. Strategi pengelolaan food waste beras dapat diimplementasikan dengan meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia (SDM) melalui kegiatan pemanfaatan sampah menjadi pupuk dan pakan ternak.id
dc.description.abstractFood waste is referred to edible food that is thrown away by the people, either before or after the expired time. Rice is one of the common food waste products. The increase in rice food waste causes losses to food security, economic waste and environmental problem. Cikupa sub-district is the second largest waste producer in Tangerang Regency, Banten Province. The problem of household waste in Cikupa District is disposing of waste without a sorting process, there is un sustainable waste management, as well as landfilling and burning waste in open area. The aims of this study are to calculate the value of economic and environmental losses due to rice food waste, to analyze the causal factors, and to examine sustainable food waste management strategies. The method used are SNI 19-3964-1994, damage cost, benefit transfer, logistic regression method, and analytical hierarchy process. The results showed that rice food waste in Cikupa District caused economic losses of Rp25.637.901.552/year and environmental losses of Rp43.186.964.681/year. Generated food waste are driven by the price of rice, tastes, knowledge, habits, health and age. Food waste management strategies can be implemented by improving the quality of human resources (HR) through educational to process waste into fertilizer and feed animal.id
