Model Produksi dan Kecenderungan Perilaku Membuang Sampah Plastik Domestik ke Sungai, Masyarakat Desa Kampungsawah, DAS Cisadane

Abstract

Sungai merupakan sumber air yang vital bagi kehidupan manusia. Saat ini, sungai tercemar oleh sampah domestik yang bersumber dari sampah pemukiman bantaran sungai. Masyarakat sebagai produsen sampah plastik domestik bersifat dinamis, sehingga perlu diketahui faktor yang menjadi latar belakang produksi dan kecenderungan perilaku masyarakat membuang sampah plastik ke sungai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memodelkan faktor-faktor yang melatarbelakangi produksi dan kecenderungan perilaku membuang sampah plastik domestik masyarakat Desa Kampungsawah. Variabel independen terdiri dari pendidikan, jumlah anggota keluarga, pengetahuan, sikap, kebiasaan dan kesadaran, ketersediaan fasilitas, dan jarak rumah ke sungai. Data dianalisis dengan regresi linier berganda dan regresi logistik biner. Produksi sampah plastik rumah tangga masyarakat dipengaruhi oleh jumlah anggota keluarga, tingkat pengetahuan, sikap, serta kebiasaan dan kesadaran. Kecenderungan perilaku masyarakat membuang sampah ke sungai dipengaruhi oleh jarak rumah responden ke sungai.

Rivers are a vital source of water for human life. Currently, rivers are polluted by plastic waste sourced from residential waste along the river. The community as a producer of domestic plastic waste is dynamic, so necessary to know the factors behind the community production and behavioral tendencies to throw plastic waste into the river. This study aims to model the factors behind the production and behavioral tendencies of disposing of domestic plastic waste in the community of Kampungsawah Village. The independent variables were education level, number of family members, level of knowledge, attitudes, habits and awareness, facilities, and the distance from respondent’s house to the river. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and binary logistic regression. The production of domestic plastic waste was influenced by the number of family members, level of knowledge, attitudes, habits and awareness. The tendency of people's behavior to throw garbage into the river is influenced by the distance of the respondent’s house to the river.
