Peningkatan Hasil Padi Sawah dengan Aplikasi Pupuk Mikro B dan Zn
Abstract
Produktivitas padi nasional mengalami penurunan dalam 5 tahun terakhir. Kurangnya pengelolaan hara mikro menyebabkan stagnansi produktivitas tanaman. National rice productivity has decreased in the last 5 years. Lack of micronutrient management causes stagnation of plant productivity. Zinc (Zn) plays a role in auxin metabolism, chlorophyll synthesis, and enzyme activation. Boron (B) plays a role in cell activity and pollen development also synthesis and transport of carbohydrates. The aims of this research to knows the effect of B and Zn micronutrient fertilization on the growth and increase in lowland rice yields. This research was conducted at Sawah Baru Teaching Farm, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, IPB from November 2020 to April 2021. The experimental design used was a two-factor randomized complete block design (RKLT) with three replications. The first factor was zinc fertilizer with 4 dose levels: 0 kg ha-1, 3 kg ha-1, 4,5 kg ha-1, and 6 kg ha-1 applied through the leaves at 3, 5, and 7 weeks after transplanting. The second factor was boron fertilizer with 4 dose levels: 0 l ha-1, 0.3 l ha-1, 0.6 l ha-1, and 0.9 l ha-1 applied through the leaves 8 weeks after transplanting at booting stage and 10 weeks after transplanting at 10% flowering. The results showed that the application of B and Zn fertilizers had no effect on vegetative variables and yield and yield components. The nutrient needs of B and Zn tend to be met by the high content of B and Zn in the soil. Zn fertilization tends to increase the Zn content of straw.
