      Abstract
      Keberadaan logam berat di perairan yang berlebih dapat mencemari lingkungan perairan serta organisme di dalamnya. Ikan belanak Planiliza subviridis (Valenciennes, 1836) dikenal sebagai ikan konsumsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis akumulasi logam berat (Hg, Cd, Pb, dan Cu) dalam daging ikan belanak di perairan Bojonegara, Teluk Banten. Penelitian dilakukan pada Agustus-Oktober 2020 dan Maret-April 2021. Analisis data terdiri atas analisis deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kandungan logam berat Hg, Cd, Pb, dan Cu berada di bawah baku mutu. Ikan belanak mengalami tingkat akumulasi sedang. Kondisi perairan Bojonegara masih dapat ditolerir dan masih layak untuk kehidupan ikan belanak. Ikan belanak di Teluk Banten masih aman untuk dikonsumsi dalam jumlah yang wajar.
       
      High presence of heavy metals in the waters can pollute the aquatic environment and the organisms. The greenback mullet Planiliza subviridis (Valenciennes, 1836) is known as consumption fish. This study aims to analyze the accumulation of heavy metals (Hg, Cd, Pb, and Cu) contained in the flesh of greenback mullet at Bojonegara Waters, Banten Bay. The research was conducted in August-October 2020 and March-April 2021. Data analysis consisted of descriptive and quantitative analysis. The results showed the heavy metal content (Hg, Cd, Pb, and Cu) was below the quality standard. The greenback mullets have experienced moderate accumulation rate. The condition of the waters of Bojonegara can still be tolerated and is still suitable for the life of mullet. The greenback mullet is still safe for consumption in a reasonable amount.
