Tidung Islands is one of islands in Kepulauan Seribu, which has potential in the tourism sector. The development in the tourism sector, can not be separated from physical development, such as tourist facilities, that may cause pressure to the environment, like decreasing in seawater quality. In addition, increasing human activities may also cause the same impact to the seawater quality, through water runoff. The purpose of this study is to assess seawater quality using Coastal Water Quality Index (CWQI) and to analyze the effect of land uses on changes in the seawater quality. Sampling was held on 16th to 23rd of July 2018 in Tidung Islands, Kepulauan Seribu, Capital Special Region (DKI) Jakarta. In general, the seawater quality around Tidung Islands, still in agreement with the seawater quality standard, except for BOD5, ammonia, and nitrate. The seawater quality index (CWQI) is in the moderate to good water quality category. Land use caused decreasing the seawater quality, especially in the weekdays season at high tide. The land uses are settlement, tourist spots, harbors, farm areas, and floating net cages
