      Sintesis Nanosilika dari Jerami Padi (Oriza sativa L.) dengan Variasi Suhu Proses Hidrotermal

      Abstract
      Jerami padi hanya dianggap sebagai limbah pertanian yang dimanfaatkan untuk bahan pakan ternak. Akantetapi dalam abu jerami padi terdapat kandungan silika yang cukup tinggi, sehingga jerami padi sangat potensial menjadi bahan baku pembuatan nanosilika. Salah satu metode yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan nanosilika adalah metode hidrotermal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mensintesis nanosilika dari jerami padi dengan mengetahui pengaruh suhu dalam proses hidrotermal terhadap karakteristik nanosilika. Variasi suhu proses hidrotermal yang digunakan yaitu 150 °C, 200 °C, dan 250 °C dengan waktu proses selama 4 jam. Ketiga sampel yang berada pada fase amorf, dengan memiliki derajat kristalinitas berturut-turut adalah 27,42%, 19,32%, dan 20,42%. Ukuran partikel sampel yang disintesis dengan variasi suhu 150 °C, 200 °C, dan 250 °C masing-masing memiliki rata-rata sebesar 785,59 nm, 11,50 nm, dan 695,39 nm. Sampel yang disintesis dengan suhu 250 °C memiliki distribusi ukuran yang lebih seragam dibandingkan dengan sampel yang disintesis suhu 150 °C dan 200 °C. Karakteristik sifat listrik pada ketiga sampel yaitu material semikonduktor pada frekuensi rendah, frekuensi sedang, dan frekuensi tinggi.
       
      Rice straw are considered as an agricultural waste used for fodder.But, in the ashes of rice straw lies a considerable concentration of silica, so rice straw is potential as a raw material for making nanosilica. One method for obtain nanosilica is hydrothermal method. The purpose of this study was to synthesize nanosilica of rice straw by knowing how the temperature in the hydrothermal process affects the characteristics of the nanosilica. The variation of the temperature of the hydrothermal process used 150 °C, 200 °C, and 250 °C with the processing time for 4 hour. All three samples are on the amorphous phase that were had a crystallinity of 27,42%, 19,32%, and 20,42%. samples. The particle size of each samples has an average size 785,59 nm, 11,50 nm, and 695,39 nm. The particle size of sample synthesized at 250 °C was more uniform than sample synthesized at 150 °C and 200 °C. The characteristics of the electrical properties are likely to semiconductor materials at low frequency, moderate frequency, and high frequency.
