      Pengaruh Aplikasi Pupuk Silika Padat dan Silika Cair terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produktivitas Padi Varietas IPB 3S

      Abstract
      Silika merupakan hara fungsional yang terdapat banyak dilapisan bumi, tetapi umumnya dalam kondisi yang tidak tersedia bagi tanaman. Padi termasuk tanaman yang mengakumulasi silika dalam jumlah yang besar dibandingkan dengan dengan tanaman lain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mempelajari peran pupuk silika dan menentukan dosis yang tepat untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produktivitas padi varietas IPB 3S. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Sawah Baru, IPB pada bulan April sampai September 2019. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) dengan 7 Perlakuan meliputi kontrol, pupuk silika padat 500 kg ha-1, pupuk silika padat 1.000 kg ha-1, pupuk silika padat 1.500 kg ha-1, pupuk silika cair 1,5 L ha-1, pupuk silika cair 3 L ha-1, pupuk silika cair 4,5 L ha-1. Pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman padi varietas IPB 3S terbaik pada pemberian pupuk silika padat 1.500 kg ha-1 atau pupuk silika cair 4,5 L ha-1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aplikasi pupuk silika meningkatkan panjang malai, jumlah anakan produktif, bobot 1.000 butir, jumlah gabah permalai, persentase gabah isi serta menurunkan sudut daun bendera.
       
      Silica is a functional nutrient that has many lines of the earth, but generally in condition that are not available for plants. Rice plants has accumulated silica in large quantities compared to other crops. This research to learn the role of silica fertilizer and determine the appropriate dose to increase the grwoth and yield of IPB 3S rice variety. The research conducted at Sawah Baru experimental field of IPB Dramaga, Bogor on April until September 2019. The research used randomized complete group design (RKLT), while the treatment on the research has 7 treatment (untreated, solid silica fertilizer 500 kg ha-1, solid silica fertilizer 1000 kg ha-1, solid silica fertilizer 1500 kg ha-1, liquid silica fertilizer 1.5 L ha-1, liquid silica fertilizer 3 L ha-1, liquid silica fertilizer 4.5 L ha-1). The result showed application of silica fertilizer increase panicle lenght, number of productive tillers, 1.000 grain weight, grain per panicle, precentage of grain content and decrease the second leaf angle.
