dc.description.abstractTolitoli, Sulawesi Tengah merupakan salah satu lokasi persebaran populasi dugong di Indonesia, dan dikelilingi oleh ekosistem perairan tropis yang produktif diantaranya padang lamun. Salah satu peran penting dari keberadaan lamun adalah sebagai sumber makanan utama dugong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan hubungan ekosistem lamun dengan kemunculan dugong di Tolitoli, Sulawesi Tengah. Data kemunculan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat delapan lokasi populasi dugong di Desa Malala dan Ogotua, serta enam lokasi di Desa Santigi. Rata-rata tutupan lamun masuk dalam kategori rusak dengan kondisi lamun kurang kaya. Analisis korelasi faktor lingkungan menunjukkan bahwa kecenderungan populasi dugong berada pada wilayah Tanjung Dusun Jalleje. Nilai koefisien determinasi tertinggi terdapat pada jumlah jenis lamun (0.6251) dan persen tutupan jenis Thalassia hemprichii (0.4845). Ekosistem lamun memiliki hubungan terhadap keberadaan dugong di Perairan Tolitoli. Parameter yang memiliki hubungan erat dengan keberadaan dugong adalah persen tutupan lamun, kepadatan serta persen tutupan jenis Thalassia hemprichii, kepadatan Cymodocea rotundata serta nilai DO dan pH.id
dc.description.abstractTolitoli, Central Sulawesi is one of the distribution site of Dugong population in Indonesia, which is surrounded by productive tropical aquatic ecosystem including seagrass beds. One of the important roles of seagrass existence is a main food source for Dugong. This study aims to figure out the relationship between seagrass ecosystem and Dugong appearance in Tolitoli, Central Sulawesi. The emergence data shows that there are eight locations of Dugong population in Malala and Ogotua Villages, and six locations in Santigi Village. The average of seagrass cover was categorized as damaged with less rich seagrass condition. The correlation analysis of environmental factors shows that the trend of Dugong population is in Tanjung Dusun Jalleje area. The highest value of coefficient of determination was found in the number of seagrass species (0.6251) and the percent cover of Thalassia Hemprichii (0.4845). The seagrass ecosystem have a relationship with Dugong existence in Tolitoli Waters. Parameters that have a close relationship with dugong are percent cover of seagrass, percent cover and density of Thalassia hemprichii, density of Cymodocea rotundata and DO and pH value.id
