      Abstract
Feline upper respiratory tract disease has become very common in cats. The tropical season in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia can affect this disease in the feline population. The aim of this case study was to correlate feline upper respiratory tract disease in vaccinated and unvaccinated cats with Indonesia’s seasons in the year 2019. The method was by collecting data on feline patients’ clinical signs from Klinik Hewan Cimanggu’s annual report. The data was then rearranged into monthly distribution tables. The clinical signs of feline upper respiratory tract diseases were recorded. These clinical signs were flu, sneezing, coughing, shortness of breath and throat inflammation. Indonesia has two seasons, namely the rainy and dry season. This disease occurs frequently from October to March, which is during the rainy season. Apart from the rainy season, there is an increase in air humidity which cause the increase in viability of the virus and an increase in the spread of respiratory viruses. The decrease in cases occurred in May, July and August where these months were included in the dry season, while in April, June and September in the dry season, there were an increase in cases. Another factor that influences the occurrence of the cases other than climate is low immunity due to unvaccinated hosts. Unvaccinated cats have a higher chance of getting infected than vaccinated cats. However, some vaccinated cats were still infected as vaccination does not guarantee full protection from feline upper respiratory tract disease.
