      Abstract
Pyometra is a condition where there is accumulation of purulent material in the uterus due to bacterial infection. The primary cause of pyometra is believed to be associated with hormonal imbalance and repeated stimulation of progesterone hormone. This study was conducted to determine the proportion of each therapeutic drug used in the pyometra treatment in dogs and cats at Gasing Veterinary Hospital in 2019. Secondary data were collected from the patient history record and were then analyzed. 95 dogs and 28 cats were diagnosed with pyometra, with most diagnosed in the age group of 5 to 10 years. Antibiotics were the most used drugs in the treatment of pyometra at Gasing Veterinary Hospital with a percentage of 44%, followed by analgesics (39%), others (12%) and supplements (5%). Ceftriaxone was the most frequently prescribed antibiotic in pyometra treatment, meloxicam was used the most as analgesics, and folic acid was the most used supplement. It was concluded that the administration of therapeutic drugs in pyometra treatment include antibiotics, analgesics, and supplements.
