dc.description.abstract | Human faces consist of many elements and information. Facial attractiveness affects an individual preference for long-term mates and considered to be correlated with good genes. Intelligence is arguably one of the individual traits that also linked to good genes since it is hypothesized as useful predictors of important life outcomes. In this study, male subjects were photographed and assessed in fluid intelligence with a Baddeley’s Grammatical Reasoning Test. The photograph was analyzed and reproduced with the geometric morphometric method and used as stimuli. Female subjects were also assessed in fluid intelligence tests to determine the impact of fluid intelligence on mate preference. In the experiment with females rating the male facial photographs, results on female raters as perceiver were accurate in assessing intelligence in another individual using a facial photograph. | id |
