Studi Potensi Energi Terbarukan Di Teluk Palabuhanratu
Abstract
One of the sources of energy in the sea that can be utilized in Indonesia is wave energy. This study aims to see the potential of ocean wave energy in Palabuhanratu Bay spatially and temporally using a modeling method with the DELFT 3D application. The data sources used are bathymetry data from BIG, wind data from ECMWF, and wave data from Copernicus. Data processing is done by processing bathymetry and wind data first, which is then entered into the model configuration and then adjusted according to the moonson period and scenario. The sea wave power generator (PLTGL) converter scenario is used to estimate the existing potential using a Point Absorber converter. The wind in Palabuhanratu Bay is included in the category of slow gusts with the highest frequency in the category 2,10 – 3,60 m s-1 with a percentage of 30,5%. The sea waves in Palabuhanratu Bay are categorized into Slight Sea with significant wave heights ranging from 0 - 2 m with an average period of 15 seconds. Based on the model results, the wave energy transport has an energy value of up to 0 - 8 kW m-1 with the highest value occurring in the East Season. Based on these results, the Point Absorber type PLTGL produces electric power in Palabuhanratu Bay with two scenarios, the first scenario is in the inner bay which produces 0.09 MW of power with an average energy per day of 261 W. 2,7 MW with an average energy per day of 7344 W.
