dc.description.abstractPenyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) merupakan penyebab kematian utama yang berhubungan dengan pola makan yang tidak sehat. Teh hijau (Camellia sinensis) merupakan, polifenol yang dapat menurunkan risiko penyakit kardiovaskular. Konsumsi teh hijau lebih dari dua gelas perhari secara signifikan menurunkan serum kolesterol total dan trigliserida. Kopi hijau diduga berefek terhadap penurunan berat badan. Kayu manis (Cinnamon) mengandung sinnamaldehid yang dapat menurunkan berat badan dan kolesterol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efek pemberian minuman kombinasi bubuk kopi hijau, teh hijau dan kayu manis (KTM) terhadap profil lipid dan gula darah pada subjek overweight/obesitas dan hiperkolesterolemia. Tujuan khusus penelitian ini antara lain: (1) menganalisis efek pemberian minuman KTM terhadap perubahan asupan dan tingkat kecukupan gizi (2) menganalisis efek pemberian minuman KTM terhadap perubahan profil lipid darah (kolesterol total, LDL, trigliserida dan HDL), (3) menganalisis efek pemberian minuman KTM terhadap perubahan kadar gula darah puasa subjek. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian pre-post experimental dan telah mendapatkan persetujuan etik dari Komisi Etik Penelitian IPB dengan No. 132/IT3.KEPMSM-IPB/SK/2018. Penelitian dilakukan selama delapan minggu dari bulan Maret-Mei 2019. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di kampus Instititut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), Dramaga, Jawa Barat. Jumlah subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 14 orang. Kriteria inklusi penelitian adalah 1) staf IPB University; 2) jenis kelamin laki-laki berusia >25 tahun; 3) IMT ≥25,0 kg/m2; 4) kadar kolesterol total ≥200 mg/dl; 5) bersedia berpartisipasi dan menandatangani informed consent. Kriteria eksklusi penelitian ini adalah 1) berpartipasi penelitian lain; 2) menjalani terapi pengobatan; 3) menderita penyakit terkait sistem pencernaan; 4) alergi, sensitif dan atau tidak menyukai produk berbasis teh hijau, kopi hijau dan kayu manis; 5) mengonsumsi obat penurun kolesterol atau suplemen antioksidan. Perbandingan bahan yang digunakan antara kopi hijau, teh hijau dan kayu manis dengan perbandingan rasio 3:4:2. Intervensi minuman KTM selama delapan minggu menurunkan berat badan, IMT, persen lemak tubuh, kadar kolesterol total secara signifikan. Terdapat kecenderungan penurunan kadar kolesterol LDL dan trigliserida. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan asupan rata-rata energi dan lemak sebelum dan setelah intervensi (P<0,05). Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa pemberian intervensi minuman KTM pada subjek overweight/obesitas dan hiperkolesterolemia dapat menurunkan kolesterol total, berat badan, persen lemak tubuh tanpa mempengaruhi kadar gula darah subjek yang normal. Minuman KTM dapat dijadikan alternatif produk menurunkan kolesterol total, berat badan dan lemak tubuh pada subjek hiperkolesterolemia dan overweight/obes.id
dc.description.abstractNon-Communicable Diseases (NCD’s), a leading cause of death, is associated with unhealthy diet. Consumption of food containing bioactive components could prevent NCD’s. Green tea (Camellia sinensis) contains polyphenols that significantly reduces serum total cholesterol and triglycerides. Green coffee have an effect on weight loss. Cinnamon (Cinnamon) contains cinnamadehyde that have an effect on lower body weight and cholesterol. This study aims to analyze the effect of giving a combination drink of green coffee powder, green tea, and cinnamon (GGC) on lipid profiles and blood sugar in overweight/obese and hypercholesterolemic subjects. The specific objectives of this study : (1) analyzing the effect of giving GGC drinks on changes in intake and the level of nutritional adequacy, (2) analyzing the effect of giving GGC drinks on changes in blood lipid profiles (total cholesterol, LDL, triglycerides, and HDL), (3) analyzing the effect of giving GGC drinks on changes in levels fasting blood sugar of the subject. This study used a pre-post experimental research design. This study has received ethical approval from the IPB Research Ethics Commission with No. 132 / IT3.KEPMSM-IPB / SK / 2018. The research was conducted for eight weeks from March-May 2019. The research location was conducted at the IPB University campus, Dramaga, West Java. The number of subjects in this study was 14 people. The research inclusion criteria were 1) IPB University staff; 2) male gender> 25 years old; 3) BMI ≥25.0 kg/m2; 4) total cholesterol level ≥200 mg/dl; 5) willing to participate and sign an informed consent. The exclusion criteria for this study were 1) participating in other studies; 2) undergoing medical therapy; 3) suffering from a disease related to the digestive system; 4) allergic, sensitive, and or dislike of green tea, green coffee, and cinnamon based products; 5) taking cholesterol-lowering drugs or antioxidant supplements. The ratio of the ingredients between green coffee, green tea and cinnamon are 3: 4: 2. The GGC drink intervention for eight weeks significantly reduced body weight, BMI, body fat, total cholesterol levels. There is a tendency to decrease LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels. The results showed that there were significant differences in the average intake of energy and fat before and after the intervention (P <0,05). The results of this study prove that giving GGC drink interventions to overweight/obese and hypercholesterolemic subjects can reduce cholesterol total, body weight, body fat and maintain normal blood sugar. This study implies that GGC drink can be alternatif product lower cholesterol, body weight, body fat on hypercholesterolemia, overweight/obese subjects.id
