Rhizobacter. The mangrove ecosystem of Rhizophora apiculata in Kuala Langsa and Telaga Tujuh, East Aceh, serves as a habitat for heterotrophic bacterial that play an important role in the decomposition of organic matter. This study aims to analyze the abundance of isolated heterotrophic bacteria, to determine their morphological characteristics, and to identify heterotrophic bacteria from the root system of the mangrove Rhizophora apiculata in Kuala Langsa and Telaga Tujuh, East Aceh. Bacterial abundance, determined using the Total Plate Count method, showed that the abundance of isolated heterotrophic bacteria did not differ significantly between the Kuala Langsa and Telaga Tujuh. Specifically, 16 bacterial isolates were obtained from Kuala Langsa and 10 from Telaga Tujuh. The characterization of bacterial colony morphology was dominated by white colonies consisting of Gram-positive rod shaped bacteria. Bacterial identification confirmed the presence of 13 bacterial genera, with 9 genera found in each region Kuala Langsa and Telaga Tujuh. These genera include Acinetobacter, Arthrobacter, Bacillus, Brevibacterium, Cyclobacterium, Eubacterium, Lactobacillus, Lactococcus, Marinobacter, Marinococcus, Microbacterium, Rhizobacter, and Staphylococcus. The identification results of 16 bacterial isolates from Kuala Langsa showed that 5 isolates belonged to the genus Bacillus, while 10 isolates from Telaga Tujuh revealed that 2 isolates belonged to the genus Rhizobacter. |
