Abstract: | Breast milk (ASI) is the main source of nutrition for infants aged 0-6 months
Insufficient breastfeeding can have an impact on the baby This study aims to
determine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding practices and formula
milk feeding on infant nutritional status The research sample consists of parents
with infants aged 0-6 months at the Pengasinan Bekasi City Health Center. The chisquare test results indicate that family characteristics, nutritional knowledge, and
the baby's health history are related to breastfeeding practices and infant nutritional
status The study findings show a correlation between breastfeeding practices and
infant nutritional status, with 69% of babies not experiencing stunting (p=0003)
Higher maternal nutritional knowledge is associated with higher exclusive
breastfeeding practices, as indicated by a value of p=0006. Air susu ibu (ASI) merupakan asupan gizi utama pada bayi yang berusia 0 - 6 bulan, jika pemberiannya kurang akan berdampak pada bayi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan praktik pemberian ASI eksklusif dan pemberian susu formula terhadap status gizi bayi. Sampel penelitian ini adalah orang tua yang memiliki bayi usia 0-6 bulan di Puskesmas Pengasinan Kota Bekasi. Hasil uji chisquare menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik keluarga, pengetahuan gizi, dan riwayat sakit bayi berhubungan dengan praktik pemberian ASI, dan status gizi bayi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya hubungan antara praktik pemberian ASI terhadap status gizi bayi yaitu sebanyak 69% bayi tidak stunting (p=0,003). Semakin tinggi pengetahuan gizi ibu semakin tinggi praktik pemberian ASI eksklusif ditunjukan dengan nilai p=0,006. |
