Penentuan Sektor Kunci dan Dampaknya terhadap Output, Pendapatan dan Kesempatan Kerja di Kota Bandung

Abstract

The attractiveness of Bandung City as a Jakarta’s buffer and the Capital City of West Java has attracted many migrants and increased its population. This phenomenon has brought impact on an increase in unemployment. This study identifies key sectors and analyses their impact on output, income, employment of Bandung City. Analysis was performed by using inputoutput. The result of the research showed that hotels and communication sectors have significant role in Bandung economy. There fore the sectors could become key sectors of Bandung City. Their multiplier effect and linkage are high. Their impact on output and income is also high. However, their impact on employment is low. Combination in prioritizing between the key sectors and agriculture sectors could be more fruitful not only on output and income, but also on employment.
