dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to examine types of credit borrowed and the amount of monthly saving made by family, the study also examine factors influencing the amount of credit payment. The data were collected from 270 respondents in Bogor in the year of 2001. The regression analysis was used to examine factor affecting the amount of credit payment. The results of the study showed that about 77% of the respondents made monthly savings, about 39% of the respondents had home mortgage, 9% of them had vehicle credits, and 44% of them had credit card payment. The regression analysis showed that family income and employment status positively influenced the amount of credit payment. The larger the family income, holding work status constant, the larger the amount of credit payment made by family. In addition, holding work status constant, those who were employed made larger credit payment than those who were not employed.
