dc.description.abstractCidanau watershed is one area which has an important contribution to the economic development in Banten province. DAS Cidanau has great potential to absorb carbon. In the year 2013 – 2014, payment programs for environmental services in DAS Cidanau has been carried out for 5 of forest farmer groups by PT Krakatau Tirta Industri as a buyer of water. The study was conducted to estimate the carbon stock changes due to land cover changes. Land cover changes was analyzed based on timeseries Landsat Imageries using object-based image analysis (OBIA) method. Meanwhile, 5 pools of above carbon stock were measured by allometric equation (undestructive sampling). The result showed that there 12 different types of land cover, namely upland forest, swamp forests, agroforestri, forest plantations, rubber plantations, shrubs, grass marshes, fields, farmlands, open land, housing, and water bodies. In 2000, 2007 & 2014 carbon stocks in DAS Cidanau accounted for 725,455.99 ton, 733,813.02 ton and 751,818.67 ton, respectively.id
