dc.description.abstract | One of alternative media for oyster mushroom (Pleurotus sp.) cultivation is using wood sawdust. This research was aimed to analize the potency of oyster mushroom cultivation using sawdust media from two species which are Sengon (Falcataria moluccana) and Jabon (Anthocephalus cadamba). The result showed that total wet mass of mushroom in the sengon baglog species code P. ostreatus var. Floridae TR was 47.7 g. Biology efficiency (BE) on the Sengon baglog coded P. ostreatus var. Floridae TR was higher than Jabon baglog coded EB with the same mushroom species. In this research, the weight of baglog media was 250 g with three repetitions. Jabon baglog has a potency as cultivation media for oyster mushroom so it could be utilized to subtitute Sengon baglog. Oyster mushroom is nutritions food containing protein more than 20% dry basis and functional carbohydrate (β-glucan more than 20%). The content of vitamin B3 in oyster mushroom was 282.28 mg/100g, while for vitamin D was not detected. The highest β-glucan content was in the oyster mushroom coded P. ostreatus var. Floridae TR 32.35 g/100g dried mushroom. β-Glucan in Pleurotus sp has been commonly used as a food suplement for prebiotic, anti-tumor, anti-oxidant, antiinflammation and imunomodulation. | id |
