dc.description.abstractLand cover change is a common phenomenon faced is the conservation area management in Indonesia, including Rawa Aopa Watumohai National Park. This research aims to analyze the land cover change and it’s causing factors. The data carried out on August 2014 using Geographic Information System (GIS) including groundcheck and respondent interview. This research resulted the land cover change from 1981-2013. The most changing land cover is the lowland mountain forest which was converted is to dryland agriculture with 7 553.58 hectare of total area in 1981-2001. Land cover change is caused by economic needs along with reform momentum in 1997, weak law enforcement, lack of the number of personnel, lack of local government support, and landuse needs supported by capital owner.id
