Abstract

The human needs about residential is increasing. Hence there are many new residential appear, one of which is The Springs Summarecon Serpong. The main purpose of this research was to indetify the vegetation diversity and analyze the trend of planting plan that used in the residential landscape of The Springs Summarecon Serpong. The research was also aimed to draw up recommendation of planting design. Vegetation data is collected from some of the areas of study, which is: main gate, main roads, cluster gate, neighborhood roads, neighborhood park, and home garden . The parameters of vegetation that analyzed like density, dominance, frequency, Shanon diversity index and arrangements of plants. In addition, the aspect of function and aesthetic of vegetation analyzed by comparing the conditions in the field with the criteria of ideal that was obtained from the study of literature. These results indicate that Zoysia matrella is a species that has a highest value of density, dominance, and frequency in area of study locations. Overall diversity index in area of study locations including moderate at 1.4. The highest diversity found in the neighborhood park area that is equal to 1.86. The value of the function and aesthetic aspects on the whole area of study sites included in good category. Planting arrangement in this residential landscape using the open park style and much use of grass. The arrangement of plants using organic patterns to increase natural impression in most areas of study locations.
