AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN DARI BUAH MANGROVE (Rhizophora mucronata Lamk.) PADA SUHU YANG BERBEDA

Rhizophora mucronata Lamk. is a tropical mangrove plant which it’s fruit have been utilized as food and traditional medicine by local people live in coastal area. Th e purpose of this research were to determine phytochemical compound and to evaluate antioxidant activity of R. mucronata fruit. Extraction was performed using diff erent evaporation temperature on (40, 50, 60, 70, and 80)oC. Fruit of R. mucronata Lamk. contained moisture, ash, fat, protein, and carbohydrate as follow (31,96; 1,10; 0,86; 2,59 and 63,50)%, respectively. Evaporation at 70oC gave the highest antioxidant activity with IC50 was 0.72 ppm. Th e extract contained fl avonoids, tannins, hydroquinone, and saponin.
