      Abstract
Payment for Environmental Services (PES) in Cidanau watershed is the payment for environmental services of Forest Ecosystem to control the water yield in Cidanau watershed. This PES is driven by issue of water yield decreasing, suggested due to forest encroachment of Rawa Danau. The role of PES for water yield control is approached through its role for the soil hydraulic properties. The research aim to analyze the difference of soil hydraulic properties managed with and without PES incentives. The research includes analysis of land use changes, infiltration rate and soil hydraulic properties of land with and without PES, and simulation of water flow as the response of rainfall. Implementation of PES in Cidanau watershed is able to maintain the good condition of forest. Soil hydraulic properties of land with PES is relatively better. The infiltration rate of land with PES is higher than without PES. Gravitational and available water is higher in land of without PES whereas the soil hydraulic condactivity is higher in land of with PES. Kostiakov and Horton models both are able to predict the rate of infiltration. Kostiakov is better than Horton model relatively. Log Normal Kosugi model was able to predict a soil-water retension curve and unsaturated hydraulic conductivity. One dimensional vertical flow simulation shown the higher flow in land with PES than without PES.
