| dc.description.abstract | National Park is a conservation nature area which has function to protect life support system, maintain flora fauna and its ecosystem, which is managed by zonation system. The zonation can be divided into core zone, utilization zone and other based on the necessity. However, National Park is still facing problem such as illegal poaching, illegal logging, forest encroachment, and agrarian conflict to national park border. One of national park which has such kind of problem is Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park. The research is aimed at investigation of land use/land cover and its causes. After conducted the research by using GIS and interviewed some participants, the result showed that forest cover is decreased during period of 1991 to 2013. This decrease is due to forest encroachment, in which forest was converted into coffee plantation. In fact, it was happened before the National Park establishment. | en |
