Private forest is kind of wood agriculture which do in dry land. Private forest bocome the source for wood industry material, especially on Java area. Private forest now was comercially by the peasant and become the alternative for their income. Simply peasants management becomes the threat for forest suistainability. The objective of this study was to identified the characteristic of private forest agriculture, and to calculate the potential of trees proprierity. Furthermore, the private forests income contribution for peasents finance have also been calculated. This study was conducted by description and corellation analysis. Correlation analysis was using between dry land area and trees proprierity and also private forest income variable. The results shows private forest were held by polyculture and agroforestry system by Sengon (Falcataria moluccana (Miq.) Berneby & Grimes) trees own the highest potential with 562 trees/ha. Peasants in Stratum III (dry land area >0.5 ha) has the highest trees proprierity with 1300 trees/person. Private forests contributing until 10 % from peasants total income. Dry land area has positive correlation with the trees proprierity significant at the 0.01 level and has positive correlation with private forests income significant at the 0.05 level.
