dc.description.abstractIn this mapped work, the provinces of Indonesia were on the basis of main job data population aged 15 years and older according to the main employment in 2003, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. The configuration of provinces in 2008 and 2009 remained unchanged, with the biggest goodness-of-fit (GF) via Procrustes Analysis (GF = 98.38%). The largest changes on configuration occurred in 2005 and 2012 with the GF was found to be the smallest (GF = 82.92%). The most extreme changes occured in the Aceh Province, Southest Sulawesi, Lampung, and Gorontalo. Both Riau and Riau Islands Provinces which were a result of the expansion area have different characteristics. Riau Province was characterized by agriculture, forestry, hunting, fisheries, wholesale trade, retail trade, restaurants, and hotels while Riau Islands was manufacturing industry, wholesale trade, retail trade, restaurants, and hotels. Based on the GF value of correspondence analysis, the visualization in low dimension is able to explain the variation between 84.23% to 88.93% of the total inertiaen
