dc.description.abstractThe number of domestic meat production is not sufficient for all Indonesian people that the meat continues to increase. The addition of synthetic growth promoters ever done to increase muscle mass, but lead to residues in livestock and dangerous if consumed by humans. Lima beans surly and the sword is the type of legumes that contain high protein. L-Dopa content results allegedly showed the presence of high concentrations in the muscle. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of flour koro koro surly and sword in the rat ration to increase the quantity of growth and meat cattle. This study did not use beef cattle but using mice as an animal model to see the impact of the two types of lima directly through growth and muscle mass. The experimental design used is a randomized block design (RBD) with 9 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed the UN with the highest average found in the 7 treatment 0.52 ± 1.978. Carcass percentage was highest in treatment 1 is 52.61 ± 2.07. while the highest ratio of protein contained in the 5 treatment with an average value of 13.51. This suggests the use of a sword lentils surly and potential as a natural growth promoter, especially lentils surly that contains L-Dopa.en
