Plastic is one of the waste remained a most ranks. Plastic waste is generally included as inorganic waste which is very hard for soil to degrade. Feather contains keratin which has a structural similarity with cellulose in plants. Biodegradable plastics can be made from raw chicken feather keratin. Keratin extracted from feathers and then mixed with plasticizer and processed by a sheet of plastic film. The aim of this research is to produce biodegradable plastic by using chicken feather keratin. In this research plastic that is produced shows tensile strength 5567.002 psi (water boil), 3755.099 psi (autoclave), and 1756.943 psi (n-Hexane). Then for elongation n-Hexane (2.563%), autoclave (1.540%), and water boil (1.013%). Then for pH’s value n-Hexane (5.95), autoclave (7.00), and water boil (11.56). This result indicates that biodegradable plastic may be produced from chicken feather keratin but it should be combined with another material glycerol, SDS, cellulose and other. Good combination will produce good product of biodegradable plastic.en
