Visualisasi Kemiripan Karakteristik Antarvarietas Kedelai Menggunakan Algoritme Force Atlas

Abstract

Information about characteristics of soybean is needed, especially in plant breeding so that the results will not produce similar varieties. However, the information is currently available in the form of text. It would be easier to use graphical visualization to find varieties that have similar characteristics, such as seed color and flower color. Hence, information visualization is required to aid user in understanding the information displayed. This study created a web-based interactive graph that represents soybean varieties with similar characteristics. The edges weights of 0.750 to 0.967 indicates similarity. This research used Force Atlas algorithm that can generate a clustering graph based on connectedness. Three clusters were formed based on the color of soybean. Soybean varieties were represented by nodes and the similarity of soybean characteristics were represented by edges. The larger the size of nodes, the more soybean that have similar characteristics.
