dc.description.abstract | Some of the problems being faced by Indonesia are the food crisis and timber exploitation. The exploitation decreases the preservation of flora, fauna, and damage of ecosystem. Based on these problems, the author intends to offer a creative idea to improve food security and to participate in conserving mangrove forests, that is using Lindur (Bruguiera gymnorrhiza) wrapped in leaves of teak (Tectona grandis) as an alternative to food diversification in Indonesia. Utilization of Lindur that has economic value have a role to reducing timber exploitation of mangrove forests so ecosystem sustainability still exist. The fruits from these species have a carbohydrate content (92.94%) is higher than rice and corn, but the fat content Lindur (0.23%) is lower than rice and corn. One of the goals from this program is to alternate food diversification. Entrepreneurial GUITEC Rice is the potential to be an innovative new business unit because this product is a new innovation in the field of non-timber forest products that have not been widely known by the public. This product branding is GuiTec schotel. GuiTec schotel is made from mangrove fruit served with mixed vegetables and meat baked with melted cheese on top and slicked with celery, then in the dressing with teak leaves as its base which adds its own flavor in every bite and aroma of teak leaves that add appetite. Marketing strategies are offered using the concept of 4P and STP approach. Method approach consists of two programs, namely the phase of the program and the stages of production process. Product results from sales of these products fluctuate within a period of four months. | en |
