Fertility is an important factor in population projection. Measurement of fertility can be used as a consideration in the decision making of regional planning and economic development. As a developing country, Indonesia has difficulties in birth data collecting such that Indonesia has not any vital statistics that can be used as a reference. For these conditions, fertility measurements are then performed by indirect methods such as Rele, Palmore, Gunasekaran-Palmore, last live birth and own children methods. TFR (Total Fertility Rate) is the average number of children that would be born to a woman over her life time. CWR (Child-Woman Ratio) is the number of children born to women of childbearing age. In this paper, the Palmore method will be modified by including implied Total Fertility Rate (iTFR) and modified Total Fertility Rate (iTFR*) variables. Referring to the Palmore method, regression equations were made to estimate the TFR by using either iTFR or iTFR* as one of the independent variable candidates. Based on census data of the population of Indonesia in 2010, TFR estimation using iTFR produces better estimate than iTFR*. It is confirmed by the fact that MAPE values for both estimation are 6.95% and 4.06%, respectively.en
