dc.description.abstractThis study aims to estimate the potential Shorea sp. standing stock in KHDTK Haurbentes by using tree sampling and circular plot method, which is Tree Sampling method consists of Six Tree Sampling, Eight Tree Sampling, and Ten Tree Sampling then to know the level of accuracy of both four sample units. The calculation result of the four sample units shows that Six Tree Sampling sample unit has the highest median value for total volume that is 724 710 m3/ha, bole volume is 563.705 m3/ha and basal area is 50.842 m2/ha, which is Sampling Error for total volume is 25.304%, 22.748% for bole volume, and 22.017% for basal area. Six Tree Sampling sample unit has faster working time which is 153.57 minutes for total time, or 6.31 minutes per plot. So Six Tree Sampling is standing stock estimation method that is most suitable to use in KHDTK Haurbentes compared than three other sample unitsen
